Permatex industrial strength mil-spec retaining and thread-locking compounds - anaerobic cures when the fastener is fastened, cutting the contact with air.  Colors usually indicate strength, green being for unthreaded surfaces like bearings and cylinder sleeves, red for larger bolts above 3/4, and blue for below 5/8 down to1/4.
