Type F points, also called thread cutters, give you superior thread engagement, translating to more holding power.  Type F is most often used in manufacturing where labor cost and product consistently are a major factor.  Flat, hex washer and phil pan are the most commonly used.  Notice the tap like point that allows the point to cut and not form as in the case of  the common sheet metal screw.  Dura-plated for decreased installation torque and corrosion resistance.
